The Supreme Court on Wednesday heard a petition seeking a stay on the FIR against the makers and actors of the web series Thandava. After lengthy discussion and vigorous argument, the bench issued notices on appeals to transfer and club FIRs in 6 different states of the country. Rejecting the appeal to grant interim protection from arrest to the accused makers, actors and producers, he said the facility provided that the petitioner is free to appeal for bail in the concerned court.
